Class, No Photo Op

This is class.

Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, visited wounded soldiers and their families near the site of the worst mass shooting on an Army post in the United States.

The Bushes made their private visit to Fort Hood’s Darnall Army Medical Center on Friday night. Bush spokesman David Sherzer said in an e-mail that the couple thanked Fort Hood’s military leaders and hospital staff for the “amazing care they are providing.”

No pictures.  He just did what he has always done and showed amazing concern and compassion for our troops. This is how a Commander in Chief behaves.

And no worries about an awkward meeting with the Magazine Cover in Chief.  No, Dear Reader decided that heading off to Camp David for some relaxation was a higher priority.  At least he has time in his busy schedule to attend the memorial service.  I’m sure that has absolutely nothing to do with the number of cameras that are certain to be present.

He’s always been a class act.

While Obambi lashes out at anyone who disagrees with him, Bush always kept himself above that.

    I miss George… SO much.

Next, you’ll be telling me that Bush 43 visited Dover AFB on several occasions to pay respects to the arriving service members remains, with no press in tow.

That’s about as likely as W. personally writing letters of condolences to the families of casualties killed in combat.

Oh, wait. George W. Bush did all that. Funny how the media ignores it.

I agree with Instinct. GW and Laura have always been classy. If the schools ever start teaching real history again, GW’s legacy is in for a huge upswing.

    Oh, I forgot.

In the wake of all the PC surrounding Ft. Hood, somebody has to say this:

Terrorist! Terrorist! Hassan is a Islamofascist, freedom-hating, Holy War fighting TERRORIST!

    Thank you, that is all.
