I believe the correct response is supposed to be: “I was just doing my job.”
But, your sentiments and support for our currently serving heroes are most appreciated.

‘member that speech Nicholson gave in “A Few Good Men”? The one about the guy standing guard on the wall? Chokes me up every time I hear it.
I know he was a jerk in the movie, but he was spot-on there.
Kinda like Gordon Gecko’s (Douglas) stem winder about greed being good in “Wall Street”. But I digress.
