Cool Beans and Politics

2:20 pm Current Events, Politics

I watched Speed Racer three times over three days this weekend.  Hubby and I rented it on Friday and watched it.  Then we watched it Saturday with his brother and sister-in-law.  And then again on Sunday.  Bless my anime loving heart, I watched the cartoon as a kid and so loved the movie.  It was an assault of color and shiny objects.

Upon the third viewing, I began to over-analyze.  All my readers know this is something I just never do.  (You might need a towel, some sarcasm may have dripped on you.)  And I started to make comparisons to the current election cycle.

******SPOILER ALERT******

You know, because no one realizes that Speed Racer will triumph in the end. And kiss the girl.

Still with me?  Here we go.

The parallel dawned on me with Royalton’s melt down.  It was identical to the Democrat’s Socialist’s reaction to the nomination of Sarah Palin.  Here we’ve got a spunky upstart with tons of talent and potential.  She has everything the Big Government team wants, and yet she is racing against them.  She’s the competition.

They’re pulling out all the stops but revealing their true nature in doing so.  They’ve shown us that the feminist movement isn’t about women.  It’s about pushing the agenda.  They’ve called out the goon squad to astroturf her.  They’re calling on their supporters to take her out.  They’re hacking her email.

All of this because they had already decided who the next president should be.  It didn’t really matter what the voters had to say about it.  If you don’t fall in line, he’ll just take it to the Department of Justice.  I’m sure he shattered his ice sculpture when they said no.

You see, it doesn’t really matter to ObamaRama what the people think.  He, and his ilk, know better than we do.  He’s really smart apparently.
