Wait A Minute! I Thought The Administration Liked Killing Mexicans

I mean, everyone and their dog was apparently involved in the whole give guns to Mexican drug lords fiasco.  But when Texas convicts a Mexican of the brutal rape and murder of a 16 year old girl, Dear Reader gets all bent out of shape about it.

President Barack Obama is attempting to block the execution in Texas on Thursday of a Mexican man because it would breach an international convention and do “irreparable harm” to US interests.

Irreparable harm?  How about the irreparable harm this beloved illegal immigrant did to a 16 year old American citizen?  Hmm?  So am I to assume that the official policy is that Mexicans here illegally are afforded special protections beyond that of American citizens, but Mexicans south of the Rio Grande are screwed.  Well, unless they happen to be part of a dangerous violent gang.  In that case, a federal agent will break multiple laws in order to arm them.

If only they’d pass the Dream Act!  Then guys like Leal that have been here since they were children could be treated just like ordinary citizens without the extra special protection of the Mexican consulate.

Leal, 38, was convicted in 1994 of the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in San Antonio. Few question that he was responsible for the killing but the Texas authorities failed to tell Leal, who was born in Mexico and has lived in the US since the age of two, that under the Vienna convention he was entitled to contact the Mexican consulate when he was arrested.

So an appeal was made to the Supreme Court for a stay of execution.  And denied.  Last night, Texas carried out the execution of murderer, rapist, illegal alien, Humberto Leal.

Prosecutors said Sauceda was drunk and high on cocaine the night she was killed, and that Leal offered to take her home. Witnesses said Leal drove off with her around 5 a.m. Some partygoers found her body later that morning and called police. There was evidence Sauceda had been bitten, strangled and raped, and bludgeoned with a large chunk of asphalt.

A witness testified that Leal’s brother appeared at the party, agitated that Leal had arrived home bloody and saying he had killed a girl.

God Bless Texas.

  1. The crime was committed in the US. There shouldn’t even be a question of extradition. Pull the switch, push the button, or strap on a blindfold and lead him to a brick wall, I don’t care. Send him back to Mexico? I don’t think so.

Of course, following that train of logic, half (or more) of our government would be shipped out to Mexico to stand trial for supplying firearms to the cartels.

    Hmmm….

  2. Now that he’s good-n-dead, I’m all for sending him back to Mexico….. take his carcass and drive it to the border and toss it out on the ground on the Mexican side.

Phooey on Mexico! Phooey on Obama! and Phooey on Eric Holder, the DOJ, and the stinkin’ ATF!

  3. There’s more to what he did, but it just turns the stomach. Watch carefully the people that side with him. They are truly frightening people.

  4. So, if Mexico doesn’t like this, exactly what are they going to do about it?

Demand that sovereign States not enforce their immigration law? Send violent cartel scum across our borders? Maybe flood our system with illegal invaders?

Gee, I hope not. That would be unprecedented. 😕

  5. I said it elsewhere and I’ll say it here: If Americans don’t go abroad, sexually assault teenage girls with sticks and bash their heads in with rocks, then they shouldn’t have that much to worry about. And if they do, well, they deserve the same fate that came to Humberto Leal.

As an aside: I live in San Antonio and was working the night Leal got the needle. I figured that was going to be the lead story on the news that night. It was a bit surprising to find that it wasn’t.

  6. Jen, the administration doesn’t like killing Mexicans during an election year – otherwise, they are fine with it as long as they can blame it on the NRA

  7. Mike, we’re starting a non-prophet organization to lobby Congress to start passing laws to keep people from picking up chunks of concrete and/or asphalt. Its evil, deadly stuff: studies by mumblemumble have shown that it is a direct contributor to road-rash and/or skinned knees, has caused the decline in off-road vehicles (or SUV) to actually be found off-road, has been known to cause severe injury/death by blunt-force trauma, and is noted to erode under certain conditions and produce a phenomenon that scientists are calling “pot holes” which are themselves a severe danger to tires and driving in general. We’re looking in to its effect on the general decline in the educational system and moral values of American homes (there’s a connection, we just can’t prove it yet), its contribution to global warming and the erosion of coastlines, and the adverse effects of asphalt on movie script quality coming out of Bollockswood these days. They’re all linked, ya know.
