Open Carry in Oklahoma

Has passed the Senate!

Yes, we still have the issue of needing to get a permission slip to exercise our rights, but this is progress. Once this goes into effect, that wind that so famously sweeps down the plain can no longer make me a criminal.

Even if Sen Jim Wilson (Hey Tahlequah voters! Notice what your senator thinks of you.) says I’m not professional enough.

Wilson, who served in the Marines during the Vietnam War, said that, “What we are talking about is amateurs carrying weapons.” Even those who attend the course are still amateurs, he said.

“We are going to have a bunch of amateurs trying to intimidate people,” Wilson said.

Hey JimmyPoo, we’ve been carrying weapons for some time now.  We just had to hide our perfectly legal actions.

And Constance (take note of your sexist senator, Oklahoma City voters), I’m not properly plumbed for any boys club.

Sen. Constance Johnson, D-Oklahoma City, said there are too many potential adverse outcomes that could happen as a result of the bill.

“I know boys and toys are a big deal,” she said.

She said she is aware Sykes has a strong interest in seeing the measure become law.

“I hope that girl in the Governor’s Office if it gets that far will say, ‘That is enough, boys,’ ” Johnson said.

That girl in the Governor’s office has already promised that she’ll sign it.  Probably because she’s compensating for the size of her penis.

  1. Heck, pretty soon you guys will be just like us and allow people to open carry without needing a membership card.

We can only hope the rest of the country will catch up.

  2. It sure looks like a done deal, but I’m not holding my breath. Its looked good before too and it turned out to all be a sham so some libs could get ‘gun cred’ without actually doing anything. Can’t see how that is the case this way, but its politics so nothing is a done deal until the Gov signs it.

Ya gotta admit, she may be on to something here. I mean, if you take a look at all the other states with open carry on the books, and count all the bodies in the gutter…..um….well….if you look at all the blood flowing from schools and orphanages and stores that sell cute puppies…..er…..um…..if you look…….dangit, don’t look, just close your eyes and use your imaginations! If you can imagine it, then we should make a law against it, right?

  5. I’d love to see this in Texas if for no other reason than not having to worry about someone seeing my concealed handgun. It seems the states that have had CHL the longest fell behind and got complacent in making more freedom.
