A majestic powerful bird, rendered lame and flightless (probably by lesser creatures) where it would have succumbed a painful meaningless death, saved and sheltered in captivity supported by tax payer dollars
Really, I even I don’t know which side of the current political spectrum that comment would fall….
Same here. This one was in an accident with a semi. Both wings broken. They were able to save one but had to amputate the other. She’s still a real beauty though.

Will never understand how any one could ever harm one of these magnificant birds. These are the most beautiful birds on the planet.
