Cap and Trade and The Public Option

Is anyone else wondering about the connection here?  We’ve got 2 really terrible bills that OMG must be passed NOW! The planet is dying!  I swear, it’s really true.  Trust me, I’m from the government.  You don’t need to look at all the dissenting scientists.  And some people don’t have medical insurance.  It’s not their fault they buy pot and beer and lottery tickets instead.  They are victims.

The health care reform bill is attempting to enslave the broke to the government by holding their health in the balance.  Dear Reader promises that you can keep your existing coverage if you like it.  This will just be there as a safety net.  Funny, I thought my health insurance premiums were already paying for my ‘safety net’ against medical expense.  So the regular taxpayer that wants to keep their coverage now gets to pay for both.

Well that’s all hunky dory right?

But what happens when your electricity bill is more than you can afford?  Where do you think the local coal fired power plant is going to get the money to pay for their carbon licenses?  What happens when your employer’s bills go up?  Think you’ll get that annual raise?  Christmas bonus?  Or might you just get a notice of termination?

And suddenly you find yourself broke and far from alone in your new situation.  Suddenly that ‘public option’ becomes the only option.  It doesn’t really matter anymore whether or not you liked your private coverage.  The clinics will fill up with those forcefully bound to the government’s teat.  What else are you going to do?  And so you hop into the line that treats patients in the order they were received.  This is the Hope and Change.  Hope that tumor isn’t malignant.  Change that bum heart out yourself.  Hope you rank high enough when they do a cost/benefit analysis on you.  Maybe you’ll just get painkillers instead.

It’s official. America and the World are now in a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. A World EPIDEMIC with potential catastrophic consequences for ALL of the American people. The first PANDEMIC in 41 years. And WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES will have to face this PANDEMIC with the 37th worst quality of healthcare in the developed World.

We spend over twice as much of our GDP on healthcare as any other country in the World. And Individual American spend about ten times as much out of pocket on healthcare as any other people in the World. All because of GREED! And the PRIVATE FOR PROFIT healthcare system in America.

And while all this is going on, some members of congress seem mostly concern about how to protect the corporate PROFITS! of our GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT NATIONAL DISGRACE. A PRIVATE FOR PROFIT DISGRACE that is in fact, totally valueless to the public health. And a detriment to national security, public safety, and the public health.

Progressive democrats the Tri-Caucus and others should stand firm in their demand for a robust public option for all Americans, with all of the minimum requirements progressive democrats demanded. If congress can not pass a robust public option with at least 51 votes and all robust minimum requirements, congress should immediately move to scrap healthcare reform and request that President Obama declare a state of NATIONAL HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY! Seizing and replacing all PRIVATE FOR PROFIT health insurance plans with the immediate implementation of National Healthcare for all Americans under the provisions of HR676 (A Single-payer National Healthcare Plan For All).

Coverage can begin immediately through our current medicare system. With immediate expansion through recruitment of displaced workers from the canceled private sector insurance industry. Funding can also begin immediately by substitution of payroll deductions for private insurance plans with payroll deductions for the national healthcare plan. This is what the vast majority of the American people want. And this is what all objective experts unanimously agree would be the best, and most cost effective for the American people and our economy.

In Mexico on average people who received medical care for A-H1N1 (Swine Flu) with in 3 days survived. People who did not receive medical care until 7 days or more died. This has been the same results in the US. But 50 million Americans don’t even have any healthcare coverage. And at least 200 million of you with insurance could not get in to see your private insurance plans doctors in 2 or 3 days, even if your life depended on it. WHICH IT DOES!

If President Obama has to declare a NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY to rescue the American people from our healthcare crisis, he will need all the sustained support you can give him. STICK WITH HIM! He’s doing a brilliant job.

    Join the fight.

Contact congress and your representatives NOW! AND SPREAD THE WORD!

    God Bless You

Wow Jacksmith! That’s a whole lotta spin in your propaganda there. Looking at actual numbers, 0.41% of those infected with swine flu in the US under our evil, for profit system actually dies. Zero point four one percent. That means 99.59% survived. Canada, who has single-payer health insurance, has to ship their at risk newborns here. And who is in a healthcare crisis? Personally, I don’t want the government rationing my health care, and there are many that think like I do. If the vast majority of people really wanted it, there wouldn’t be a fight about it. ~Jennifer

  2. Reading Wacko Jacko’s comment all I could think was:

a – did he take his medication
b – he should get his own fricking blog if he want’s to write posts this long
c – I love his view that if we won’t vote for it then the president should just SEIZE it and FORCE us to take it because that is apparently how he thinks it’s done is a representational republic.

Obviously he has the United States confused with Venezuela. Easy to do, both have socialist buffoons as their leader right now.

d- The statement of “37th worst healthcare” is taken from the WHO look at infant mortality rates. Now, the fact that the US tracks ALL infant mortality while most countries don’t doesn’t matter to these people as long as they can make it look like the US health system is ‘flawed’

But since Jacko is an obvious fool, I won’t bother to go into it.

Instinct’s last blog post..Happy Birthday, Bruce!!!
